History of One shot One kill & the [ZSZ] Clan
One shot One kill Sniper server was started in February in the year 2000. It was born out of a lack of true sniper servers. At that time there were a few Sniper servers and they all had low gravity and no translocator. They were not true sniper servers and the only way to get all the weapons as sniper rifles was to use the sniper mod that was built into the game.. but it had one flaw It also took away the translocator and all you had was low gravity. A server was needed to for true snipers to play on and a search began to find a mod that let you have sniper rifles and a translocator too. It took a while but one was finally found. It changed all the shock rifles and all the sniper rifles on the map into fast firing assault weapons and it was your primary weapon when you came into the game it was called the ZARK! It was great. It had a problem too though.. It still kept all the other weapons on the map. i.e. the rocket launcher, but no matter, it let you have a true sniper server and you were able to get to the high spots with the translocator. When One Shot One kill came into being, it was only able to allow 4 players. It was slow getting players at first, but some began to play, the first players were DarkSniper, Mace, Amygeddon, Mr.Blue and my self Mr.Whoop-Ass. We played every night and others would show from time to time. Eventually we were able to get a little bigger server that could hold 7 players and maybe 8 on a good night. ONE SHOT ONE KILL WAS THE FIRST SERVER IN HISTORY TO USE THE ZARK!!! All the rest of the Zark servers came after. Never thought that it would take off like it did. True snipers loved the server and we got more and more new players and then players who wanted to know how to start there own servers and we helped them out. After a couple of months a few of the regular players wanted to start a Clan. This was the first [ZSZ]Clan, there have been two since the birth of One Shot One Kill. The player who had the most enthusiasm for this first Clan was DarkSniper. Most players and [ZSZ] Clan members don’t know who he is, but he made some maps for the server and is the true sniper. You are probably familiar with them I'll name a few, "Killing Fields", "Return to the Killing fields", "Sniper waste lands" and a classic that is run on almost every sniper server; "Sniper Town".
The clan was formed and we were getting good players, who played by the rules and were friendly. We always had players on the server because of the GOOD attitudes of the Clan members. We didn't really care if you were a good player to join our little clan. We just wanted to have players who respected the rules and mostly, the other players on the server. But things started to happen with the Admin and he could not run the server anymore, so One Shot and the [ZSZ]clan were disbanded for a short while.
But One Shot One kill would not die after all, a short while later the server was started again, we lost a lot of the first clan members but we began to get new players, one of these players was "Lisa Kudrow". Lisa began to ask about starting a clan, it was discussed and the second [ZSZ] Clan was born and it has been active ever since. After a while the Admin was having trouble finding the time to run the server and he was going to have to shut it down once again. Lisa wanted to keep the clan alive so he did all the ground work for the server that One Shot uses now. He is the one that has made the [ZSZ]Clan what it is today. He has kept the enthusiasm going thru the past few years and has had new mods made that other servers use now and most of all he has made it the best sniper clan by listening to his fellow clan members and by recruiting only players that play by the rules and have respect for others on the server. All the [ZSZ] Clan members, past and present, have been quality people and its a sure thing that it will remain that way for as long as One Shot One Kill and the [ZSZ]Clan are in existence.
